A brief overview of the conceptual and historical context of civilization as it peaks today with globalization as a multifaceted, new phenomenon is suggested. The aim of the course is a pan-optic knowledge of elements of the world history of culture with emphasis on its conclusion, in the new context of globalization.
Upon successful completion of the course students will acquire:
- Selectively the most important moments of world culture.
- Fundamental self-knowledge in relation to the global course of the human spirit.
- Further globalization trends.
- Globalization as a new condition in the context of postmodernism.
