The Department of Digital Media and Communication of the Ionian University is organizing a Student Conference, which will take place on Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Department’s facilities (G. Arsenis Amphitheater) and is open to the public. The conference offers a unique opportunity for students to participate in an engaging discussion and exchange of views on a variety of topics related to the broad field of Digital Media and Communication.
All participants will receive certificates of attendance.
The conference topics include:

Digital Media in Education: An opportunity to explore how digital media can enhance the educational process and create new learning experiences.

General Data Protection Regulation / Digital Transformation: A key discussion on data protection in the digital communication era and its impact on society and businesses.

Political Journalism: An analysis of the relationship between politics and journalism in the era of digital media.

Digital Marketing: An examination of trends and strategies in the field of marketing in the digital age.

Applications of Machine Learning in Communication: An analysis of new trends and methodologies in machine learning applied to communication.
The conference program includes scientific paper presentations by undergraduate, postgraduate students, as well as PhD candidates.
Additionally, faculty members of the Department will chair discussions on current issues and challenges in the field of Digital Media and Communication. There will also be lectures by invited speakers.
