The subject of the course is to teach the concept of history and what makes a story fascinating. It attempts to interact with all the different narrative techniques and forms of non-fiction in various fields such as documentaries, cultural representation, museum browsing and others.
The lab addresses the following topics:
- First Section – Analysis (Input Field)
- Second Section – Design (The principles of design)
- Third Section – Performance (Writing in history)
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to know:
- Apply the universal principles of storytelling to the design of new media, examining interactive elements in stories that actively engage the reader
- Experiment with interactive storytelling in museums, branding and serious games
- Discuss how narrative can be used the interactive in a meaningful way
- Create digital stories
