The objective of the course is to consider the phenomenon of communication “as social interaction through messages” (textual or multimedia) from a sociological point of view, as they take place on the Internet. The course addresses, it will be presented the specificity of mediated and intermediate communication and their social implications.
Upon completion of the course, students:
- The pluralistic and classical theoretical models of communication regarding the internet
- The process of transmitting messages from the media, where McLuhan’s idea opens up a wide field of reflection
- Those approaches that are part of the social constructivism that examines the “construction of reality” by the media
