The internet has changed the way information is transmitted and presented. Nowadays, what is called computer and media integration (network and media convergence) is often referred to as the convergence of the 3C’s. Computing, communication, and content). Everything now tends to be done using the internet and even only with the World Wide Web (WWW). The aim of the course is to present the impact of the internet and its technologies on the shaping and evolution of digital media and the shaping of new forms of content. The basic principles of internet operation at the network, protocol and service level are presented. Introduction to servers, databases and their connection to Content Management Systems (CMS). Content management systems are used to manage and post data on the Internet by various organizations such as the media, online stores and in education. In addition, the course presents mobile device technologies and the unification of information that creates a new reality for individuals and organizations. Finally, technologies and applications are presented that allow the simultaneous transmission and use of content on many terminals.
During the course cases of integration of technologies in organizations in the modern age of the internet are presented. Student projects are submitted where the management and posting of information on the internet is deepened and used through the use of different CMS.
The laboratory part of the course includes the following sections:
- Content Management Platforms (CMS).
- Use of Google’s online service platform.
Upon successful completion of the course students will acquire:
- The basic principles of operation of the internet and digital means of communication.
- The concept and importance of network and digital media integration.
- The operation and use of content management platforms – CMS.
- Using Google’s online service platform.
