The course introduces students to the design and development of modern interactive digital experiences through the use of Artificial Intelligence in Low-Code/No-Code environments and AI-assisted development tools, without requiring prior programming experience. It begins by examining how Generative and Multimodal Artificial Intelligence are transforming the design, development, and personalization of digital media, products, and services. Students are introduced to contemporary approaches to natural language-driven application development (vibe coding), fundamental Prompt Engineering techniques, and AI-assisted development tools for the rapid creation of functional digital applications and prototypes.
The course then focuses on human-centered design and Human–AI Interaction, presenting methods for developing personalized, adaptive, and intelligent digital experiences. Particular emphasis is placed on Affective Computing, techniques for adapting content and user interfaces to users' needs, preferences, and emotional states, and Human–AI Co-Creation for the generation, refinement, and management of digital content and interactive experiences.
Furthermore, the course explores the integration of dynamic and multimodal AI-generated content into web, mobile, and immersive applications, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) environments. It also introduces the fundamental principles of AI agents and automated workflows, as well as the use of Assistive AI technologies to enhance accessibility, inclusion, and user experience in digital media.
Finally, the course addresses the ethical, legal, and societal aspects of Artificial Intelligence, including data privacy, intellectual property, transparency, trustworthiness, and the responsible use of AI in the design, development, and deployment of complete and functional digital applications and experiences.
