Short Description:
The aim of the course is to investigate and demonstrate the principles of e-commerce, its impact on society and the design and development of online stores. Furthermore, it demonstrates the creation and development of a theoretical basis and tools that facilitate decision making and help those interested in such actions.
More specifically the course provides an overview of the basic tools of e-commerce and includes the analysis of case studies. Moreover, students undertake projects in which they create and manage their own online store.
The laboratory part of the course includes the following sections:
- Designing online stores.
- E-commerce platforms.
- Interactive e-commerce navigation systems.
- Creating and managing online stores.
Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to know:
- How to use e-commerce platforms.
- How to use social media for e-commerce.
- How to set up an online store.
- How the platforms of an online store work.
- That the material for e-commerce must be configured.
- How to use new technologies such as virtual and augmented reality for e-commerce.
