Short Description:
The subject of the course is study the coexistence of digital culture and museums. At the same time, familiarizing students with the application of new technologies in cultural goods and digital applications of modern forms of culture as the modern museum draws ways and applications from technology and modern communication and interaction devices. Finally, the course material covers topics such as cultural content websites, virtual museums, digitalization, virtual reality, augmented reality and digital collections.
The lab addresses the following topics:
- Tools to create digital museums
- Interactive navigation systems for culture
- Virtual and augmented reality systems for culture and museums
- Digital tour
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to know:
- How to use digital media in culture
- How to use social media for cultural organizations and museums
- How to create a digital museum
- How to know how the digital museum platforms works
- How must be designed the digital display material to promote a museum
- How to use new technologies such as virtual and augmented reality for culture
