Preparation process
In the third (3) semester of the Program, the preparation of the postgraduate diploma thesis is planned. The postgraduate student has the right to submit a request to prepare a diploma thesis only if he/she has successfully completed all the courses of the previous semesters.
Student Obligations
- Search for a topic based on the list of topics posted on the P.S.P. website. until the end of the spring (B') semester
- Proposal preparation in collaboration with the supervisor
- Submit the proposal for approval to the supervisor (attached)
- Application to the PSP Secretariat
- Thesis Assignment
- Complete writing using the specified template (attached)
- Submission of thesis to the three-member committee (15 days before the examination)
- Public support of the thesis.
After contacting the supervisor of the thesis
The postgraduate student submits an application to the Secretariat of the P.S.P., after the end of the second semester of study, in which the proposed title of the thesis, the supervisor and a summary of the proposed thesis are attached. The Secretariat of the P.S.P. forwards the application to C. C. The subject of the master's thesis must be research-based and original.
Writing the master's thesis has specific specifications, which are described in a decision of the Department Assembly which is posted on the P.S.P. website. The design process of each student's master's thesis is the responsibility of the Supervisor. It is also noted that it is the responsibility of the Supervisor and the postgraduate student that all work conducted should align with the principles of Academic Ethics and Research Ethics of the Institution. The writing language of the master's thesis can be Greek or English.
The duration of the postgraduate thesis cannot be less than one semester. Its examination takes place at the end of the 3rd semester, as long as the student has settled all of his financial obligations to the P.S.P. In case the conditions for the timely presentation of the work are not met, the extension procedure is followed as described in Article 9.3 of the regulation.
In order for the thesis to be approved, the student must publicly defend it before the Three-Member Examining Committee. The Thesis is submitted no later than the end of the third (C) semester to the Three-Member Examining Committee, given the agreement of the supervisor, and is examined either before or within the upcoming examination period. The grade is entered within the exam period. After the end of the writing period of the Master's Thesis, the students deliver copies of it electronically or in hardcopy to the members of the Examining Committee. It is pointed out that the submission of the Master's Thesis to the members of the Committee should be done at least 15 calendar days before the start of the examination.
The approved Master's Thesis, after any corrections proposed by the Committee, and before the student's certification of diploma, is deposited in the Department's Library in electronic form and posted on the website of the relevant School.
